Frequently asked questions
Can I make a booking?
We do not take bookings for travel to Days Bay, but instead operate on a first-come-first-served basis. However, if you are traveling with more than 10 people, please get in touch to advise us of your plans.
How do I purchase tickets?
If you are traveling from Queens Wharf you can purchase tickets from the office during office open hours (Monday - Friday 9am - 4pm, Saturday, Sunday and public holidays 9am - 3pm); tickets can be purchased onboard all other times. We have Cash, EFTPOS and Credit Card facilities on board.
If you are traveling from Days Bay, all tickets can be purchased on board.

Where is the East by West office located?
The ticket office is located in between Portofino and Master Kong restaurants on the Wellington Waterfront and the boat departs right opposite the office. There is no office at Days Bay.
Can I bring dogs onboard?
Passengers are able to bring trained and friendly dogs onboard, provided they are on lead and stay on the top deck (or back of the main cabin if raining). All mess created by dogs must be cleaned by the owners.
