A very historic day yesterday 17/11/10 for Matiu Somes Island “Te Hokitanga Mai a Matiu” . The return of Matiu (& other harbours island) was celebrated with an unveiling of a plaque on Matiu Somes Island commemorating the return of island ownership to Iwi and the islands are now administered by the Harbour Islands Kaitiaki Board. Among dignatories attending the ceremony today were Kate Wilkinson, Minister for Conservation, Sir Ngatata Love, Chairman Port Nicholson block Trust, Fran Wilde, Chair of Greater Wgtn Regional Council & Celia Wade Brown, Mayor of Wellington.

    hi,

can you update us as to how the city cat is and when timetable is likely to return to normal.

Please see our commuter newsletter just posted. It is likely it will be the end of the month before the City Cat returns to service.
