Commuter Newsletter July 2016
We would like to thank everyone for their patience while the ramp at Queens Wharf was taken away for maintenance. We’re pleased to report its all back on deck now and hopefully good for a few good years to come!!
We have also finalised dates for taking the Cobar Cat out of the water for maintenance and a full below the waterline with new antifoul painting. The boat will be out of service for a week from Saturday the 16th July and will be back in full operation for the morning of Monday 25th July. During this period we will be operating to a restricted timetable on the City Cat as below:
Weekdays Departing Queens Wharf:
AM: 6.25am, 7.15am, 8.10am, 10am
PM: 12pm, 2.15pm, 4.30pm, 5.30pm, 6.30pm
Weekdays Departing Days Bay:
AM: 6.50am, 7.45am, 8.35am, 10.30am
PM: 12.40pm, 3.15pm 4.55pm, 5.55pm, 6.50pm
This also means there will be no sailings in or out of Seatoun during this time.
Our weekend timetable will remain the same; however we will not be running the Harbour Explorer. (We’ll also send out reminder texts to all on our database on the Friday before and also Monday morning.) We do apologise in advance for this disruption but we have chosen the quietest time of the year and also the holiday period when many commuters may be away! Hopefully she’ll be back in service smarter and faster before you even know it!
A big thank you to all that have been using our recent late night sailings to get out and support the All Blacks and lately the Hurricanes or perhaps just using the opportunity to spend an evening in town. The next game for the All Blacks is not until 27th August against the Wallabies but we’ll definitely be out in force for that one!
Also in our recent on board survey a few suggestions were offered, namely requests for craft beer and healthier snacks, so we’ve resumed stocking the Tuatara Range of craft beer and you can enjoy it now with the Cookie Times Bliss Balls which are pretty tasty!
Congratulations to Gary Crawford our June winner of our 10-trip draw. Remember to hand your finished 10-trip and monthly tickets to our deckhands with your contact details on the back and you could be this month’s winner!
